Captain Dave Harding and Captain George LeClair are very well known for their expertise in light tackle fishing in the backwaters of the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge into the Everglades National Park. The species we fish for change with the seasons. Spring, summer and fall we target snook, tarpon, redfish, jacks, snapper and other species. Winter we target speckled trout, redfish, pompano, Spanish mackerel, snapper, small tarpon, whiting and other species. We furnish the spinning tackle, licenses and bait. Fly fishing tackle can also be provided. Ice, soft drinks and bottled water are included. We work with people of all ages and all level of fishing experience from fly fishing experts to those who have never fished before.
Captain Dave offers fishing trips that are great for a family, a group that wants to spend a day fishing or fly fishers that want to cast to snook in the mangroves. He will plan a trip that can be a leisure day of fishing with a stop for lunch on a remote island to an intense day of searching for that trophy fish. Captain Dave's unique specialty is fly fishing the lights around the bays of Marco Island and Isles of Capri at night for large snook and large Crevalle jacks.
Captain George targets fish in the remote backwaters, grass and sand flats along with other interesting spots that hold fish. Captain George also offers a 26 foot deck boat that is great for a family of up to 6 or 3 couples that want to enjoy a day together fishing, touring, shelling or combining any of these activities. Captain George can split the day using both boats so the family can be together part of the day and the others that want more serious fishing can be accommodated on the Flats boat.
